Treatment Records

The system the staff at Electrolysis by Leora use to run the practice.

Electrolysis by Leora is a licensed electrolysis and laser hair removal practice in Pikesville, Maryland, owned by Leora Sonnenberg, LE. This application is the practice’s own record-keeping system, used by its electrologists and front-desk staff.

It holds the appointment calendar, treatment records, intake and consent forms, progress photographs, invoices and technician pay. It replaced a spreadsheet and an off-the-shelf app the practice had been running since 2020.

Who can use it

Only people who work at the practice, signing in with a Google account that Leora has already added to the staff list. Signing in does not create an account and there is no way to request one — an address that is not already on the list is refused. Clients do not sign in here; they receive links to their own forms by email or text.

What it connects to

  • Google — staff sign in with their Google account, and each member of staff may connect a calendar so the practice’s schedule and their own are not kept in two places. Connecting a calendar is optional and separate from signing in.
  • Square — the practice takes bookings and card payments through Square, and this application reads them so that a treatment record exists for every appointment.

What each Google permission is used for, and what is done with the information behind it, is set out in the privacy policy.
